Addressing the needs of Eastside communities is going to be a lot of work, and there's no way we can do it alone. That's why we've formed The Eastside Alliance.
The idea of The Eastside Alliance is to bring a network effect to an advisory community. As a micro VC fund we stay lean and mean by design. Even if we had a huge team our bet is that the capabilities of a large network will beat any small group of professionals, no matter how smart or dedicated.
So, The Bronze Alliance is an experiment in building a large, task-organized community of advisors and supporters who can attach themselves to specific companies, communities or projects for flexible amounts of time. Alliance members are activated for specific tasks that suit their interests and capabilities. In some instances we've been able to broker equity in exchange for measurable value add. This is an attempt to extend the venture capital model further into communities in a way that has real impact.
